I have always been creative and enjoyed art at school but not needlework! My mother and grandmother taught me to knit and crochet when I was very young. On leaving school I went into banking, once I had started a family I was fortunate enough to return to Adult Education and  gained several qualifications in Sugar Craft and Confectionary and  then turn my creativity and baking skills into a business making individually designed celebration and wedding cakes. Whilst teaching cake decoration at Adult education College a student suggested I go to a Patchwork Class with her.

Subsequently I became interested in embroidery as well and in 2009 I gained my City and Guilds cert. level 3 in Creative Textile Design and Embroidery. My favourite techniques are Art Quilts I do try to introduce embroidery and mixed media into my work. I'm always interested in furthering my skills (your never too old to learn) and in 2016 I gained a City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Cert. taught by Janice Gunner.

I was one of the founders of ERTF and belong to  various Quilting groups across East London and Essex  I continue to enjoy learning different skills to keep my work fresh. My work has been in exhibitions  in the UK and  Abroad with several pieces of my  work  in private collections.

I work from my home
on Borders of Essex and East London.
